We’ve seen plenty of accidentally bad tattoos and even how to fix them, but Helena Fernandes is taking a different approach to it by purposefully drawing ugly and unprofessional-looking tattoos. And you might not believe it, but the customers are pouring in.
The 26-year-old artist from Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, has opened up a home tattoo studio called ‘Malfeitona’ where she inks these ‘tatuagens peba’ (“trash tattoos” in Portuguese). And it’s not some sort of trick, she’s very upfront with her customers that she can’t draw but that doesn’t stop them from leaving 5-star reviews and catching up with on her rapidly growing Instagram account which now has over 14,000 followers.
